Frequently Asked Questions
What is a stamp extractor?+
A stamp extractor isolates a stamp (such as a company seal or rubber stamp) from an image and outputs it as a transparent PNG. Our tool uses a color-confidence algorithm that keeps the stamp ink and removes the paper background.
Which image formats are supported?+
JPG, JPEG, and PNG images are supported, up to 10 MB per file. The result is always delivered as a transparent PNG.
Which stamp colors can be extracted?+
Red and blue stamps work with one click via presets. For other colors (purple, green, black-red, faded inks), use Pick Color from Image and click directly on the stamp.
Do I need to crop the image first?+
No. Cropping is optional. Without a crop, the full image is processed as-is. Cropping can help when the stamp is small or the page contains other colored elements.
Do you use AI to extract stamps?+
No. The tool uses our own color-confidence algorithm (HSV/LAB color analysis), not AI recognition. Extraction is deterministic and your image is never used to train any model.
Is my image uploaded to your servers?+
Yes. Images are securely transmitted to our servers for extraction and removed automatically within seven days. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What is the maximum image size?+
The file limit is 10 MB. Very large images above 24 megapixels are rejected to keep processing fast and reliable — please downscale them first.
Why is my extracted stamp partially transparent?+
Faded or lightly pressed stamps contain semi-transparent ink by nature. The algorithm preserves ink density faithfully: strong strokes stay opaque, light edges stay soft.
